Traffic Signal Modification at Livermore Avenue at East Ave/Fourth St City Project No. 2006-21

This is one of the oldest signalized intersections in the City. Corrosion and possible debris accumulation obstruct the existing electrical conduit system making emergency repairs almost impossible. This project replaced the electrical conduits and wiring, upgraded signal heads and signal cabinet, and installed a battery back-up system and video detection system.   Construction on this project was completed in March 2010.

For more information regarding this project, please contact Cedric Novenario, Project Manager at (925) 960-4541.

Livermore to Pleasanton Arroyo Trail Segment T14 – City Project No. 2006-47:

This project consists of constructing a 1.5-mile long gravel trail between the west end of West Jack London Blvd. and El Charro Road  (Trail T14 in the City’s Bikeways and Trails Master Plan).  The trail will help link the extensive trail system in the City of Livermore to the trail system in the City of Pleasanton.  Proposition 50 California River Parkways Grant Funds were awarded for the construction of this project.

If you need more information regarding this project, please call  Mike Mikasa , Project Manager at (925) 960- 4533 .  [top]

Annual Sewer Replacement, Project No. 2009-03

This project will upsize sewer mains that are currently undersized, and replace sewer mains and laterals on Fourth Street between North N Street and South Livermore Avenue, and on Junction Avenue between Ladd Avenue and Enos Way.  Another project with a similar scope of construction is being combined with this project and bids are scheduled to open in late 2010.

State Route 84 Expressway:

As the new State Route 84, Isabel Avenue is ultimately planned to be 6-lanes from I-580 to Stanley Boulevard, and 4-lanes from Stanley Boulevard to Vallecitos Road.  The 2002 Measure B expenditure program identifies $70 million for the Route 84 (Isabel) Expressway.

The Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority (ACTIA) and the City of Livermore are performing engineering and design analysis for Cal Trans for the State Route 84 Expressway widening project.  The environmental document for these improvements dated August 2008 can be viewed on the Cal Trans website.  A hard copy of the environmental document can be reviewed at the City of Livermore's main library.

The Isabel Avenue improvement projects have been largely funded through the Measure B Sales Tax Program.  For more information on other local Measure B projects click here[top]
