Business Retention & Expansion Team

street scene downtown LivermoreThe Business Retention & Expansion Team consists of participants from the City, the Chamber of Commerce, and Downtown Main Street to demonstrate the City’s appreciation that businesses have selected Livermore for their place of business. Equally important is for the team to learn how it can help and serve the business. Examples include “cutting” through red tape, attracting complementary businesses and training needs.

Employee Recruitment and Training Incentives

The Economic Development Department staff will assist with applications to the State of California's Employment Training Panel (ETP) program, which provides recruitment and screening services for qualified companies, including providing a pool of qualified applicants for your consideration. Some of the benefits include reimbursement from the State for job training costs, including the salaries of trainers and the cost of books, materials and training equipment. While exact reimbursement varies with each company, the typical reimbursement averages $2,300 per employee.
