Armchair Travelers ~ Pau, the Pyrenees & Basque Country

PAU, THE PYRENEES & BASQUE COUNTRY

ARMCHAIR TRAVELERS, a monthly program, will take place at the Livermore Public Library Civic Center on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 14TH at 1:30 p.m. Alan Burnham will present a slideshow entitled “Pau, the Pyrenees & Basque Country.”  A regional capital in Southwest France, Pau is the birthplace of King Henry IV. On a clear day, one can see the Pyrenees 25 miles to the south, and one can reach the Atlantic Ocean in an hour. Alan's presentation will feature sites in Pau, as well as side trips to Lourdes, the Pyrenees, and the coastal towns of Biarritz, France, and San Sebastián, Spain.

Adults are invited to this free program on the second Thursday of each month in the Community Meeting Rooms of the Civic Center Library, 1188 S. Livermore Avenue, Livermore. For additional information please call 925-373-5500.
