Community Development Block Grant also known as CDBG, is a program of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) which provides federal grant funds to the City of Livermore. Over the last 20 years, CDBG has been supporting various non-profit organizations and agencies serving lower income Livermore residents. The CDBG program is a division of the City of Livermore’s Community Development Department.

Livermore City Council encourages in local citizen input into the CDBG funding process. The Human Services Commission and Staff hold regular public hearings in an attempt to obtain the widest possible input regarding Livermore’s community needs.
